Our perfumers have recreated this masculine classic with scents of Rose Wood, Cardamom, Oud Wood, Sandalwood, and Vetiver. The scents combine with Tonka Bean and Amber to complement each other to recreate that much loved Oud Wood Fragrance.

This amazingly scented candle burns for approximately 35 hours and has a strong scent throw that will fully fragrance an average-sized room.

Mortimer Forest was an ancient hunting forest. According to the Forestry Commission, it is a remnant of the ancient Saxon hunting forests of Mocktree, Deerfold, and Bringewood. Remains of this 'ancient battleground' include a castle mound that was owned by powerful Marcher lords, who had considerable fortified bases at Wigmore and Ludlow. The name of the forest derives from the Mortimers, who were Marcher lords.

Natural history includes very old limestones and shales laid down by the sea some 400 million years ago. The limestones and shales of Mortimer Forest are around 400 million years old, making them around the Silurian/Ordivician age. Fossils are common in the Mortimer Forest, especially corals, trilobites, and shells. This indicates that at one time the Mortimer Forest area was underwater.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn candles out of reach of children and pets. Always leave about 10cm between burning candles. Do not burn candles on or near anything that may catch fire. Only burn this candle on a level, heat-resistant surface.

Never burn this candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Do not allow the flame to touch the glass. On the first burn, always burn for 3-4 hours to ensure an even melt pool. Ensure the wick is upright, above the wax, and central before the wax sets. Always trim the wick to 5mm before lighting to avoid smoking and damage to the glass. Glass may become hot during use. Extinguish when 5mm of wax remains and do not relight.
